I just picked up Earl Palmers' biography at the library. It is titled Backbeat, Earl Palmer's Story. He really had an interesting life. The discography in the back is unbelievable.

I found out that he played on the *M*A*S*H* theme. I had always wondered who drummed on it.

I was just listening to some old TV show themes on You Tube last night - you could almost always tell Hal Blaine by the sound of his toms - super tightly tuned heads....
