So yesterday, I'm in the elevator on the way home in my cycling gear. Guy gets on w/ a small boy, maybe around 4. Boy says to me,

"What's that?"

while pointing to my helmet.

Guy says with a straight face in a matter of fact tone, okay, wait for it.

"That's a soccer helmet."

I didn't even bother hiding my furrowed brow & wtf look after I told the little kid what it actually was.

Anyone else know what the hell a "soccer helmet" is?

What strange or bizarre stuff have you encountered recently? Do any of you know what a "soccer helmet" is?

Aww give the guy a break. You totally just slammed the dad right in front of the kid. Now he cannot look daddy in the eye without disgust and disappointment. You just totally ruined their trust and bonding FOREVER . So now the kid is gonna grow up, not ever believing a word his dad says, develop insecurity issues and go on and be one of them punk gangbangers goin' around spray paintin' things, thievin' and stealin' and startin' fights and all that.

Yep. It's all your fault. Thank you for contributing to our future.

Now that's a possibility. Though he wasn't wearing tight pants and a U lock in his back pocket.

so, he was just stupid....Junior will either figure that out and move on, or fall in step and live to pass bad information on to his own kids.....which would explain why lots of dumb things happen!

My dad often had a laugh on an unsuspecting sucker's own expense, and I was always in on the joke.

People stating facts that aren't factual, or making shiz up when they don't know the answer.

Hunh...imagine that.

He'll never be the same player he was until he loses that thing. A little foam won't keep his skull from breaking again. It's a mental crutch, just like this guy.

Rugby headgear actually, used to help prevent concussion injuries in either a previously injured player or a player in a high tackling position. The soccer [censored] is probably wearing it because he was kicked in the head.

An article on whether they work or not - apparently not
