All day I've been hearing about this cyclone we're supposed to be getting on the Gold Coast this afternoon. So where is it?

Wonder if they're referring to the mini-cyclone I just rode through on the way to/from the Bicycle Gold Coast AGM. How awesome was that!!! Torrential rain again tonight -- we might just have finally broken the drought, and I think those 130km/h+ winds have finally arrived.

For some reason I was the only one who rode to the meeting. I honestly can't figure out why.

I rode home through that on Friday night. I was a bit worried that cross winds on the Story Bridge would be a bit rough, but it was a head wind so I didn't have to deal with anything worse than stinging rain. I was fine all the rest of the way, if a little cautious, until the second last turn of the ride onto Stradbroke Ave. where I was nearly blown over backwards.

Got home safe and very wet, but happy. There goes that Fair Weather Rider reputation I've been building up over the last year or so.
