Hmmm......could it be the much denied P4 from Cervelo? Anyone seen any other news?

That's the P5C. The P4C is obsolete.

What's with the down tube?

There has been rumor for some time that the "P4" would have an integrated hydration system. I can't explain it in this picture, but maybe that is it somehow?

ElJamoquio

A cutout for the bottle, perhaps... looks too small, from that picture.

Personally, hydration isn't a big deal for me, all my TT's are under an hour.

didn't the trek ttx have that (not that they ever used it) when they brought them out?

It's ugly as sin.

It's ugly as sin.

How is that different from any Cervelo? Nice bikes, mind blowingly Fugly graphics.

Regardless, I bought one. It will be covered with mud and duct tape soon enough.

Looking at the Cervelo patent applications, it does appear that there may an internal drinking system that sits at the seattube junction.

Well, hopefully the P3's will lose resale value.

That's not the smartest way to time trial but to each their own. :thumb:

I ordered an S2 road bike, not a TT bike. You'll see. You'll rue the friggin day.

The new ridley has already obsoleted the bike you haven't even gotten yet.

Pretty new Ridley Noah. I will allow GSteinb to post the pretty picture.

Wait. Ridley named a bike after Gary's kid?

That's impressive Gary.

Gary is on an iPhone and out with his girlfriend, so post away. It's supposed to be the most aero road bike evah.

You can't be on your iPhone Gary, you're using the Shift key. We're not that gullible.

And one more thing Steinberg, just because you win all the bike races doesn't mean you should irresponsibly blow your dough on silly bike schwag.

That's my job.

I have a new bike and don't need to be aero.

iPhone autocorrects so sometimes it works in my favor.

That's how it should be.

My Specialized Transition has a similar, though less pronounced, notch in the downtube - it's so Specialized's fancy-schmancy, impossible-to-find-for-sale aero bottles fit perfectly - so it's more aero.

Odd. Mine does not.

Word on the street is that the unveiling of the worst kept secret in the industry will take place at 9:30 tomorrow. Hopefully we will get better pics.

The point was that your new aero bike is now less aero than something else. My new bike ain't aero
at all.

Don't discount the enormous aero advantage conferred to you by your 5'6" stature my little Velo Napoleon. Combine that with your disturbing ability to crank out 1500 watts in the last 100 meters of a race, and you have a perfect recipe for a 41 year old Cat 2. Not that anyone will ever know how many watts you generate you Power Meter-less heathen. But I think your opponents can use the number of bike lengths you dust them by to extrapolate.

Speaking of brakes...

are you talking about the fact that the front brake is missing the brake track, or that the rear brake is built into the bike? i don't think it is hidden behind the bb, i think it is hidden inside the frame.

ElJamoquio
09-24-08, 01:15 PM
I was talking about where the rear brake is hidden. The front brake is bad, too, but hey, it's just a promo shot, it doesn't have to look good!

Anyone know where the rear brake is located? Based on the pic I would think by the bottom-bracket.

The bike is also outfitted with the SRAM RED group but with a Shimano FD.

Another positive recommendation for the SRAM FD ;)

Cool. Still don't undertand why they would not put in a similar system in the front then.

Oh good - now you can pay a whole lot of money for a frame-specific water bottle.

It's not so fast when you stop and turn around to go back and get a water bottle you've dropped because you can't afford a new one. :)

Yup, more important up front. I suspect that they don't own that patent.

Yup, but with what I saved having bought that very bike in January, I can continue to feed myself, which really brings my TT times down quite a lot.

Plus mine is red, and we all know red goes faster.

(I bought two '06 bikes this year, actually)
