Hi,
I'm building up a new touring set (will also be used for commuting, but I don't usually bring 80lbs of gear with me to work!)
I'd like to use the XM721, but while the rim is only 28mm wide... the mavic site is saying 2.0-3.0 tire size. I usually run 1.4" tires. Obviously downhill tires aren't going to be super for touring on!
Has anyone used this rim with narrower tires? OR, any good experiences with the XC717?
Rider + bike + gear = ~275lbs for reference.
