here's what i found on craigslist:
Haro 3-pc cranks - Pretty good shape, some scratches. Includes sealed bearings - $45.
what do you guys think?
I will put used cranks on my shopping list right after used underwear.
I don't like not knowing what sort of abuse forks and cranks have had prior to my owning them.
ymmv.

those are definitely the haro fusion cranks. They are not too bad when I have owned a set, just make sure to keep on checking on the pinch bolt once a week. Well, atleast I had to. Just a bit flexible and not as solid as profile cranks. For the price I would definitely jump on them.

buying that kit already has the bottom bracket you need =) From the picture it is anAmerican bracket which your GT already is.

since we're on the topic on 3 piece cranks, i also found a set of DK 3 piece cranks for $10, what do you guys think of that?

I'd go with the Haro, the DK stock cranks bent after a few months.

get em anyways. just to have a spare set around. and if you want, you can up the price and pawn em on a friend haha.

oh, never mind about the DK cranks. This guy said they're 60 for them. I will just get the other set instead.
