Texas - riding in or thru Allen??

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I work in Frisco now and my drive takes me through Allen. I see a few cyclists going up and down Watters Rd at the Stacy rd intersection, and was wondering if any of those were BF'ers and knew of any specific routes or safe roads in that area that I could ride in the AM or after work.
Thanks for the tips,
Chris

Im out there occasionally. You are probably seeing PBA riders.
Look here:

Check out the Celebration Park map. There are some others featuring Allen, but
That one does have a lot of it.
Look at www.bikely.com (http://www.bikely.com) too. Search for Allen, TX and you'll see routes that other
riders have posted.

Just got back from my usual Tue/Thur ride that goes along that very stretch.
This is my basic ride - but you can add/subtract segments pretty easily to add/remove hills, etc: http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/tx/frisco/533322342
We start from up in Frisco at about 5:15/5:30pm, so we're not over to Waters/Stacy until probably 6:00 or later, so I can't speak for traffic before that time.
