Cyclocross - Headlights on Specialized Tricross

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
This is not strictly a cross question - but an accessory question for a cross bike. I have a Tricross, which I love, but which I'm riding at dusk/night more often now. Not a lot of room on the handlebar for accessories to fit - particularly with the top-mount brake levers. Anyone with a Tricross that's found good bright light that fits well?

Yeah, I have plenty of room but my cross brake levers are mounted about 2 inches from the stem.

try a couple of knog frogs on your fork? or a knog bullfrog on your head tube.

Do you need a light to be seen or to see? That may help narrow your choice of lights.
FWIW, I run Dinotte 200L on my bars (sans top brake levers). The width of the light is about 1" and the battery pack can be strapped to the stem so it doesn't take up that much space on the bars. It's bright enough to ride on the road and fireroads but would need to supplement it with a stronger light if you are on anything technical off-road.
Check out the commuting and electronic forums for more light options.

The Nite Rider Minewts attach to the bar with a rubber o-ring, which makes them fairly adaptable. I put mine on my Kona Jake bars, inside of the cross-tops, with no problems. If the mounting mechanism was any more rigid, I'd have a hard time placing the lights there.

+1 on the Minoura if you need more space. I have one so I can use lights with a handlebar bag. Works well.
