I have a NOS steel fork that is un-painted or prepped. Would it be possible to add the provisions for a front disc brake setup? I'm hoping this might be possible. How cool it would be to take a 1978 Columbus SP fork and make it a disc equipped fork.

the only possible problem i have encountered is rotor clearance. if the rotor clears (especially the rotor bolts) i would go for it. good luck.

Don't disc forks have to be a lot beefier to withstand the stress of braking? I seem to recall that rim brakes do not stress the hub/fork legs but that disc brakes do.
