Road Cycling - My new bike

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I just got home from Performance bicycle in Boulder with a 2003 Fuji Roubaix. I paid $630 for it, which I think is a great deal. It was either gonna be that, or a 2004 specialized allez sport for $770. I figured the fuji was a much better bike and it cost less, so it was a no-brainer. This bike is replacing a 80's Trek with full campy record components that I've been riding for the last year. It is good bike, but it's a poor fit, and also seen better days. Last night I put the Fuji on layaway, and the salesman said that right after I left some guy came in who had finally decided to go ahead and get it. Good thing I acted quick. I'm just excited, so figured I'd share my joy with the rest of you.

Congrats.
Roubaix for $630 is a great deal. Enjoy.
They had the pro, but it wasn't my size and it was a couple hundred dollars more. I am very happy with my puchase. I am amazed at the diference a properly fitted bike with new technology can make.

That's a great deal. I bought a 2003 Roubaix last May. It's a fine bike, and I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

I bought a Roubaix Pro at end of December and have enjoyed putting 500 miles on it since then. Good value, nice bike. Enjoy.
