With dark commutes a reality, it was time for a new light.
I've been running a Planet Bike 10 Watt halogen as the main light, with a cheap blinky backup...but I love the idea of connection convergence and picked up a minewt USB.
Very cool little light. It's tiny, charges off my laptop, or any of the USB chargers we have around (with 2 blackberries, a garmin, a camera, etc. we have these chargers everywhere) and throws off a useful amount of light. Very white, very focused beam...works well intandem with the halogen.
With both together, I had no issues on W&OD last night through the dark section in the dark at 15mph. You know the lights are bright when you don't need to use your bell because people get out of the way when they see them beam coming at them from behind.
Not bad for $100.
