Bicycle Mechanics - Broken Brooks Saddle - Help!

So after a mishap (aka me dropping my bike) my brooks B17's tensioner popped out of place and I have no idea how to get it back in, It doesn't seem possible to stretch it by hand enough to get the bolt back in its seating so I can retension the saddle... Anyone else ever have this problem or does anyone have any ideas?

Those tension bolts are made in two sizes (don't ask); if your saddle is the Champion Standard model, it should have been fitted with the longer bolt, and you'll find that a shorter one will be easier to fit in its place. If it's a Champion Narrow, however, it'll probably have been fitted with the shorter bolt initially - in this case (or if the short-for-long substitution still doesn't work) you'll probably have to make a simple jig to enable you to flex the frame sufficiently to re-fit.
Either way, the use of a 10mm. ring spanner on the 'tail' of the bolt, and a screw-driver/chisel at the 'nose', should make the job reasonably easy.

thank you very much for the response, while your way sounds like it would have been a little more kind to the saddle I actually managed to get it back into place by pounding the crap out of it with a rubber mallet. not the most graceful method but at least it worked!
