Just ordered my new bike today. :D
A TREK 5200 in the nude carbon color.
LBS gave me a great price, but he doesn't have my size so I have to wait at least 3 weeks. :(
Got lots of help on sizing and chosing the right bike for me
by browsing and posting to this and the bicycling.com forum.
Thanks!
See ya on the road!

Keep me, at least, informed on how it performs when you get it. I was going to get a Lemond Zurich, then I decided on the 5200, then back to the Zurich, and back..... I have tested the Zurich and 5200 and am going to re-test both in the next two weeks. Both fit perfectly, I love the feel of both, both are all Ultrega with similar wheelsets, the only difference being the frame. Both ride as smooth, but I think the steel/CF hybrid might be stronger and I am a clydesdale, after all!
I will have to make a decision, and all the help I get are "Both are great bikes." My LBS said "Why not buy both?" If I had 5 grand, I'd get the Tete d'Course !
Decisions, decisions!

I will definitely post a review when I get the bike. I am counting the minutes.
I too was considering the Lemond because of the geometry (sloping TT...I have short legs relative to my height and the Lemond geometry gave me the extra standover room). Ultimately I went for a size cycle fitting and was able to dial into the Trek frame by changing the stem. I was leaning toward the Trek anyway. Go with which ever one rings your bell! Good Luck!
It's always fun when you place the order. Get it out on the road ASAP. I got my Cannondale R3000 about a month ago and I am almost used to it. I need a few more good rides before my first race next weekend to become totaly comfortable. I went from 172.5 mm crank arms to 175 mm so that is a little different, but I've had to change the stem and seat a little from the bike fitting to get totaly comfortable. Congrats :D

Hows the weather in Buffalo? Ill bet you still have snow on the ground.
Things are finally starting to improve in NYC and I have gotten some good rides in the last 2 weeks. I am trying to get ready for the Montauk century on May 16. I hope to get the bike by the end of March so I should be able to have plenty of time to get used to the ride. Good luck with your race.

Postmansi: what kind of price did you get on the 5200? I couldn't find a dealer to go under the retail price which was too high for my budget. I strongly considered the Zurich as I found a dealer willing to part with it for $1,900. I ultimately went with the Cannondale R2000 which I have been happy with and I got a good deal on it too. The 5200 and Zurich are both great bikes. Wish I could have one of each :)

$2100.00 out the door. I almost went for the 5500 which I could have gotten for $3000 but he could not get that till the end of April. Apparantly there is a shortage of 04 DuraAce. I give this shop a lot of business and I always send friends and family there so he takes care of me
postmansi the snow if finally gone except for the mountains in the parking lots and the snow up in ski country. It was 67 F on Friday and I was able to get in a nice 30 mi before dark. Saturday was 32 and windy as could be so I drove out to one of our 8 min hills down south to do hill sprints. Wouldn't you know it I'm putting my shoes on in the truck and the snow starts flying. Was able to climb the hill three times and do hill sprints before I got too cold. Nothing like hard snow hitting you in the face on a downhill at 45 mph + :-). Good luck with your century. This spring Giros between Rochester and Buffalo start next weekend. Eight races in four weeks.

Postmansi: That is a good deal for sure and I probably would have bought one if I could have a price like that. I couldn't find one for less than $2,700 :( Oh well, Im happy with the one I got. Maybe next one I get will be something in carbon. Have fun on it and ride the heck out of it.
