Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - The wait is killing me
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I ordered a 2009 Cannondale from my LBS so I can get into biking for exercise I ordered it the middle of last month and was told it should be in the middle of Sept well I called today and it won't be in from Cannondale until Mid October. I was hoping to get a couple of months on it before it gets too cold here in New England for riding especially since I haven't ridden a bike in a good 15yrs or so and that was a huffy. I am debating whether to cancel the order and just wait until spring to get it so I don't have a 1000 dollar bike just sitting in a spare room catching dust. Well just wanted to rant now let me get back to my couch my Ben and Jerry's is melting..

You really need at least 2 bikes anyway so you might as well find an old MTB on Craig's List and start riding. It will help pass the time till your other bike arrives.

I love to ride my old mountian when the weather is a bit windy, rainy, and such,
smaller short rides will allow you to start that saddle callus before you nuts on the new bike,
ps be sure to get some Butt butter and some bike pants your size..or you'll be limping like a texan with a problem..
