Has anyone found a really good doctor in the New York area? I've been disappointed by 2 ortho surgeons I've seen, for some intermittent knee problems last year and a nasty knee/calf problem this year that so far has me off the bike for 6 weeks.

Both docs were terribly rushed, and I got the impression that, if you don't have a cast or crutches, they can't be bothered.

I actually did better with acupuncture, because it was so patient and thorough -- but when she described it as "pain relief" I lost interest, as I'm only interested in structural soundness.

My problem may involve a cyst, which the doc didn't even mention and I only found out by requesting a written report from the MRI on the way out of the office.

i'm going to see a physical therapist next tuesday for a bike-related knee problem, although not at all as severe as your issues sound. if i'm positively impressed, i'll post about it.

I've been to riverside orthopedics. Depending on what your specific injury is, they will match you up with the specific Dr. Some of them are very responsive some aren't.
