70's Centurion steel frame 58 cm, light enough with all the production crap stripped off.
Velocity wheels, new sealed...smooth BB 42 x 16...39x16 for of road flip flop

I've replaced many parts off of my Langster but it's still a bike that I will NEVER sell. Too much love went into my little commuter to pawn off. I love my Langster! Luckily they never upgrade the bike year after year either so it all works out.

Look at that quill stem. And all those gears. Nicely done.

Nice job Pete. I've been looking for a frame of that vintage but all the hipsters on CL want $300+ for an '80s steel bike. A few years ago, I bought the same bikes for < $100.

Yeah, mixed terrain... I'm in (so long as the schedule works). I'd do it on my cyclocross bike though. The reason I'm looking for an older frame like your Centurion is so I can run fatter tires and fenders. I _may_ be willing to trade my IRO Mark V for such a frameset. Something like my old Miyata 310 would be ideal.

Thought I'd let that set in for a little....Hadn't adjusted the seat yet...but I still have the front end up a tiny bit so my but sits flat on the back of the saddle...It's a hugely critical ajustment for me. Too far tipped forward and my butt and hands numb out.

By the way I've decided to call my bike the "Limo"
Now all I need is a Bus!...I guess if I got a tandem...

Me too like you. My seat is up just about the same angle. The two bones rests nicely square in the saddle back like a well worn arm chair.

I'm developing Carpel tunnel in my hands...I've been going over to aero bars slowly which have been pretty helpful although not aesthetically racy. The brakes reversed are actually much easier and give me more leverage. I like the bullhorns a lot! So much easier for climbing and comfort. I like the city style bikes. What a great ride on the centurion!! smooth and straight.

I haven't seen it in the flesh yet either, yet the owner of my local Specialized shop is ordering his Tokyo in a 58cm for me... He's pretty confident I'm going to ride it out of the store. :eek:
