I did a forum search and didn't find a good answer to this question.

I am looking for some quality Panniers but I don't want to spend to much. Do you have any recommendation? :)

I bought some Axiom Seymour Panniers for $40 (+shipping). First set of panniers I've ever owned but they work great and seem to be made of decent material, and they have good reviews.

This probably sums them up:

I would imagine that there are other more rugged and truely water-proof bags out there that would out perform these bags, but they are likely to cost 3-5 times more. These are an excellent, budget-friendly set of bags that more than do the job.

These look interesting and cheap if you have a source of free Bamboo.

I toured for 2 summers with Performance Bikes Epic Pro Panniers Front/Back. They are good tough panniers and a reasonable price. Anything I've seen cheaper appears to be significantly inferior.

My only complaint with them is the lack of a handle for carrying them off of the bike. You can carry them by the straps that hold them closed, but it is nearly impossible to carry a pair of them in one hand.

Hello,

Just a thought, spend the money. Today I received a new set of Ortlieb bike packer plus panniers as a warranty replacement for a four year old set. The old panniers started to rip on the storm flap after all that time of daily use as my commuter bags. These bags have been in the rain, sun, sleet and snow and have held up extremely well considering the bike is outside all day at work.
