Fifty Plus (50+) - Help! Need this product! Where do I get it?

Cool idea! Love the color, too. In reading the comments in the link page, someone mentioned that these would be stolen quickly. Do you think so? I've never had anything stolen from my bike.

I've never had anything stolen, either. I suppose if I parked it on a campus all day....

I hate* checking my tire pressure. I always think I'm letting air out when I do it, and I always forget to have my reading glasses with me when I get out to the bike. And then I have to walk back in the house and put the glasses away. And sometimes I bring the bike in the house and the pump/guage elsewhere and i have to go find it.

If they are like the ones you get with the little color pop-ups for pressure, they aren't worth the cardboard they are packaged in. I had a set, and tven though they were all in the green, I had some times a good 15 PSI off.

If you had these you would still need your reading glasses and I don't think they would work on presta valves. I could see where they would be pretty handy on shraders though. I don't think I would buy a set as I have a nice digital guage that is pretty easy to use. Did you try the "contact us" link?

You'll have to pump your tires up at the same frequency with or without
them so I would just assume that the tires need air each time I take the
bike out, pop the pump onto the valve and pump to the desired pressure
as indicated via the guage on your floor pump. No extra doo-dads to leak,
fall off, or get pinched. If you do a lot off technical off roading and you
tend to change your tire pressure to meet trail condition demands, the
gadget might simplify lowering pressure, but you've still got to reinflate
sometime. Just an old fogey's grumpy opinion of course.

The only thing I've ever had stolen off of my bike were a pair of decorative valve caps. Got them from Nashbar for $1.

I put them on, rode 13 miles to Mt. Horeb, a very nice & friendly small town. Parked at the trail depot. Was gone 1 hour, came back and they were gone. So I got a half-ride out of them.

I do what cranky does. I check before each ride and the gauge on the pump tells me if it needs air. That's a really cool-looking device though

Do you have one of the small Topeak pressure gauges? I've seen them for as low as $15. Work on both Schroeder and Presta. Not as handy as stem mounted gauges, but nice. Doesn't take up much room in a bike bag.

I just don't like doing it. I figure if I'm riding every day, I'm probably letting all the air out myself. Plus, it gets caught and sometimes I can't get it off and I worry about breaking the valve.

I just give my tires a squeeze before every ride, and pump up to 100 if necessary.
