Road Cycling - Paris-Nice

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Just a note that the Paris-Nice race is being televised on OLN. The first coverage was today and they showed the prologue. I think the next is on Monday at 9:30 and will run like that for the next couple of days until finished. Hope everyone will tune in so maybe OLN will get even better with it's cycling coverage.

Though with no Lance or Jan, I wonder how many people really care. :D

Well the whole point is to garner numbers so that OLN knows that there is a enough folks out there watching cycling events so that they will show more races such as the Giro de Italia, Vuelta de Espana, Paris Robeaux etc. etc. Besides, there are some good riders in this event like Tyler Hamilton, David Millar, Alexander Vinokourov and others (hope I didn't offend anyone by leaving any rider out) :) So watch this event and hopefully there will be more. Happy spinning!

Its up, but for some reason a lot of people arent able to access it lately. I dont know if it has to do with location or what.

I taped the race this a.m. while at work. Just finished watching it. Something very bizarre happened. The commentary and the video were way out of synch. I mean they were taking awards presentations and the video showed 22 km to go! I had commentary during commerical video, commercial audio during race video. I can't imagine how this happened. Anyone see the race this a.m. and experience the same thing? East coast presentation here by the way.
I watched the TT on Sunday (13.2 km.). Tyler Hamilton did pretty stinkin' good for just coming off the stomach flu. I think the winning time was 17:15 or so?

I guess I'll find out tonight when I view today's stage. Just find it hard to imagine how video and audio get out of synch. The recording started off fine, it was midway through the show that things went nuts.

Ihard to imagine how video and audio get out of synch.
I get this quite a bit on some of my dish stations. Not way out of synch, just enough to make it weird, kind of like a dubbed in movie.
OLN was offline on my recording Tuesday morning, too. Glad to hear I'm not the only one.
