And a non-stop smile to go with it! It was storming and dark by the time we got home, so she had to settle for riding it around the house... for an hour! We'll be at the park in the morning for its first voyage outside!

She literally jumped up and down when I told her she could bring it home from the bike shop and, after the service guys gave it the once over, she rode it from the back right out the front door to the car.

I had a huge smile all evening, too!

WHAT?!?!? No CF Frame? No brifters? No itty bitty skinny tires? No Dura-Ache? No clipless? geeze. What's wrong with you!?!?!?

Just kidding. I hope her enthusiasm continues.

I saw a little kid and his dad riding on the bike trail the other day. I don't think he had training wheels, but his bike was that size. Pedaling furiously with his dad slowly moving behind him, they couldn't have been moving faster than 5 mph. It was pretty cute.

Congrats. Just wait until that first father daughter training wheelless ride. I love riding with my sons, even though one is still in the trailer. Hopefully next year, we will all be on two wheels.

She has a helmet and always wears it when riding outside. I told her inside, she couldn't go fast becasue she didn't have her helmet on. It worked and just just rolled slowly around the house.

I've got it so ingrained already that she comments on every bicycle and motorcycle that passes. "That guy has a helmet... he's smart!" or "That guy doesn't have a helmet on!"

She's had a helmet since her 1st birthday... to get her used to wearing one.

Get some clipless pedals on there. Best time to learn is with training wheels. :)

For ilikebikes to show she has - and wears - her helmet... OK, just more proud dad horn tooting.

She went out twice today. First time, she rode probably 3 miles, maybe 3.5. This evening, she kept going around and around the park for probably another 1.5 or 2 miles. She was one pooped kid come bedtime!!
