Should one's helmet be loose or a snug tight fit?

I'm assuming that it should be snug and tight. Otherwise it could be less effective in a collision?

Sometimes I think my helmet is a bit too loose. I wear glasses and frequently mop my brow to try and stop sweat gunking them up.

Been riding over 40 years - 24 of those with a helmet.

I'd suggest doing a google search.

The general idea is that the helmet should not move around (a lot) on your head.

My helmet becomes increasingly snug as my hair grows. I find it's a good reminder to cut it every few weeeks.

To do it's job, any helmet should fit snugly, without being uncomfortably tight.

To protect your face properly, the helmet should fit just above your eyebrows and the only way to make it stick there is with a fairly snug fit.

The "Boy George" style of wearing a helmet just doesn't protect and looks, well I just have to say it, it looks gay.

+1 on the haircut reminder.
