Does anyone know how the builders of carbon forks attach the aluminum dropouts? Are they epoxied or is it some form of mechanical fastener? Just curious. Thanks

I believe the term is "co-molded". The dropouts or other metal parts are placed in the mold with the uncured carbon cloth and the assembly heated to cure the carbon which then holds the metal parts firmly in place. In effect the dropouts are glued in as the fork is made.
