Road Cycling - Where can I purchase "different" cycling jerseys?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I know where to get the usual "team" jerseys but I see lots of unusual ones when I'm out riding or driving. I saw three riders doing their daily training ride on Friday in downtown Atlanta traffic . The only thing I noticed on the jersey was something about New Zealand cycling.
Do you know where to get any "unusual" jerseys?

Here are a few of the more popular sites that offer unique/retro jerseys. Good luck!

Marmite. Beano. Wonky flags.

Nay, they are not retro. But they're neat... if you like that sort of thing.

I saw that nashbar had the Soviet Union team jersey. If I weren't going riding in rural Georgia a lot, I'd consider picking one up. They're interesting and would probably be a good conversation starter.

I need to work on my Russian accent.

I enjoy wearing jerseys that are different, preferably that no one else will be wearing at a big ride.

I have had excellent luck getting vintage European jerseys off of ebay. I currently have an Italian (local club), German (restaurant sponsor), and 2 French (small Local clubs) jerseys that I picked up, all for less than $20. I haven't purchased one in a while but there seems to be plenty at auction at any given time.

I also have a sister that travels to Europe regularly and I always press her to bring me back something cycling related. She complains of the difficulty in finding bike shops in Europe. They tend to be small shops with very little signage and she always has to ask the locals where the shop is located. My favorite is a jersey she picked up in a Scottish pub. the pub was one of the sponsors of the local cycling club.

good luck
