It's a 60 cm. It weighs 18 pounds as shown in the pictures. It is Ultegra except for the rear Dura Ace derailer. I also put on a new seat. It is fast and the color scheme looks awesome. What do you think?

unfortuanly my budget will only allow me to look at the R600 because I have to buy one for my wife.

It's coming off no doubt. Just did a few rides to make sure the derailers were set up properly.
Excuse me while I wipe the drool off my chin!
I LOVE the color too!

You'll love the feel of the frame. I have the R3000 (same frame)and it really is stiff and handles great. Cannondale does a great job with frame paint...they clear coat the whole deal so the decals are covered and protected. It will keep it's good looks for a long time.
Enjoy!
Another voice from the rafters about the spoke protector. I don't know what happened with the newer models but my Ksyriums came with a rather dimunitive "dork-disc" so I left it on. It seems the later models came with much bigger spoke protectors. You can't even see mine peeking out from behind my 27. then again, perhaps that's why they made them bigger. Mine's pretty much useless... not that a properly maintained rear derailleur would really need the protector anyways.

Why the negative reaction to the spoke protector? It weighs essentially zip. Is it simply an appearance issue? When I thought about how much my spokes cost, I decided to leave mine on.
hell damn boy get rid of that spoke protector man, it's hiddeous. Or get a smaller one

Well if you keep your derailuer in line then there's not need for it. Maybe that could be your motivation to keep it in perfect shifting order....the thought of ruining your spokes! ;)
I've never come close to having my chain damage my spokes. Atleast that I know of...

I got my flight deck put on today. Also off came the spoke protector. :)
I wonder if they went back to all-metal spoke protectors if they would be more aesthetically acceptable. And maybe make it more minimalistic rather than having something that looks like a pizza-pan attached to your spokes. How about having it be apart of the cluster instead of attached to the spokes?

What kind of bars are those?

The bars are Cannondale 31.8.

Sorry, I was wrong about the bars, They are actually Ritchey Comp, Cannondale 31.8 is what the book said.

good idea or simply make the hub flange larer ala Cane Creek.
The other problem with cheap plastic spoke protectors is that much like wheel reflectors, they can oftentimes work themselves loose or their securing tabs break thereby possibly causing the very damage they're meant to prevent and then they go on to become road/trail litter. I've never had one of them survive for very long on my MTB although the one on my RB seems to have held up fairly well but then again it's rather small and seems pretty well trapped in place by the cluster.
Great looking bike!
I didn't realize the new Cannondales gave you a place to carry your frisbee - how ingenius. ;)

Yeah, I took it off cause the frisbee also seemed to attract dogs. Oh well. No more a problem.

See... if that protector were metal, you could have used it to defend yourself. You have to change your name to Oddjobs first though. ;)

I just bought an R1000 also. In fact I bought it today! I upgraded it to 100% Ultegra (it had a 105 Bottom Bracket) and put a carbon seatpost on it. I also put carbon aerobars on it. i bought the black model, but I seriously considered the yellow. Both are very cool! This is the 2nd Cannondale that I've purchased. I had the 400 as my first road bike and I can't wait to pick the new one up early next week!

it funny you said that, I didn't get it at first. I thought that he had a real frisbee stashed someplace on the bike that I hadn't seen before. I bring this up because about 15 miles out on one of my favorite rides is a frisbee golf course, and every time we ride out there, I go, "dang! I gotta remeber to bring a frisbee next time!" Then I go home and realize that there is no place to put one on my bike. I have yet to go frisbee golfing there...
