My father's going to be running the Boston Marathon this spring, and my family would like to rent bikes to keep up with the course as best they can, to cheer him on at several points. Can anyone reccommend a rental shop?

Thanks!

Boston is not really the most bike friendly city, so there aren't a whole lot of places that are set up for it. You will also not likely be able to get anywhere near the route unless you go to one spot really early, and stay there. I used to work near the finish line, and to be honest, I hated the inconvenience just getting back to the train station to get home.

Thanks! Too bad about the likelihood of getting near the route... In Chicago and Denver, we were able to get reasonably close at several points, it was just crossing the route that was impossible...
