I just saw these, and from the pictures I'm very impressed. As a full set of two front and two rear panniers, they look VERY good. And all the specs on them are very nice too. Price is a little hefty, but, may be worth it.
I'm curious if anyone here as any experience with them. I know Arkel and Ortlieb panniers and trunk bags are well rated, here and just about every where else. But, what about these?

They are highly regarded. The racks are great too. The bags look a little large for my taste. Fairly cheap and crappy cordura panniers with plastic bag liners work really well for a long time and cost about 60 bucks a pair. Fancy panniers tend to be heavy with lots of nice bells and whistles. However, if you feel they are right for you, I haven't heard anything that would undermine that choice. Bruce makes the best integrated family of touring gear on the US market.

You will hear a lot of happy reports about lower cost gear, because that is what most people use. I have had the same simple cordura panniers for 20 years. They are top stuffers like a rucksack. I am perfectly happy with them and if I replaced them it would be with something similar.

I would look for something else. Imagine if you got the backs up to 4000 you wouldn't need the front?

I offer a contrary view:

I have BG racks front and rear and use Beckman/NeedleWorks Panniers designed for the racks. BG did not offer panniers when I bought the racks and panniers in 1986.

The price for the racks and panniers was not inexpensive but 22 years later the price seems to have been a bargain considering the function and durability of both the racks and the panniers.
Most people know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

I have used BG racks and love them. I have seen the BG panniers and find them well designed with quality materials and workmanship and made by a small cottage industry person. I do not mind paying more to support such local industries rather than products made offshore if the quality is there as it is in this case.
