Yes. I used one all last summer and it worked great. I tried the Halo Headband this summer and it worked great also. I think the HH is a little more comfortable but you are putting a sweat drenched garmet back on if you take it off at a rest stop. The SG leaves a mark on your forehead. Just don't wear the SG too tight or it will give you a headache. Most folks that I ride with use the HH which is why I tried it. My favorite LBS carries the SG. I recommend the HH bandana version to wear on evening rides when you will be finishing at dusk or after. It keeps the bugs out of your helmet.

I have used the Sweatgutr this summer. It does a pretty good job of keeping the sweat out of my eyes but it is not perfect. The gutter is not long enough so sweat will drip down the sides. Mostly, this misses my eyes so it is OK. The Sweatgutr is worn just above the eyebrows. Apparently, I sweat from my eyebrow area and this does get in my eyes. I have to put my finger under my glasses and wipe my eyebrows occasionally before this sweat drops. I would think that the Halo would be better in both these respects but I have not tried it.

The sweat gutr is fine if you're riding in an upright position most of the time. Where it doesn't work is if you're in the drops or an aero position the majority of the time. It still collects the sweat but not as well as sitting in an upright position.

I have both the Halo and Sweat Gutr. Neither is perfect, but I like the Halo better b/c it does a better job keeping the sweat out of my eyes. However, the fabric can hold only so much sweat, so eventually it will come down.

The Sweat Gutr doesn't catch everything, so I still get some water down to my eyes.

I have used both Sweatgutr and HALO extensively for running and biking.

I feel that both products excel for running, where the head is in an upright position and sweat flows down and back. I much preferred the Sweatgutr - it looks like it should be less comfortable, but I never had any chafing problems or annoying feelings with the PVC material on my head, and it took up much less space than the Halo. The halo worked as well, but on hot days, the added thick fabric headband just added to the heat.

The Sweatgutr isn't perfect for extreme sweating - you'll get some buildup under it, but it's still far better than without it.

I can't recommend either as highly for cycling, however, especially if you are in a head down or aero position, as the sweat tends to not run off the gutters correctly. It still works to some degree, but nowhere near as effectively as is does on the run. I absolutely will not run for more than 4 miles without my Sweatgutr, but I usually leave it off for cycling/mtn biking.

It's worth a try - not too expensive, and pretty much lasts forever.

Great posts all around, thanks for the info. I might pick one up if I decide to do some marathons going forward.
