I wanted to ride my age yesterday, but I only rode two miles--to the store and back. Then I got rained out. Therefore I propose the creation of 50+ Mileage Offsets.

If anyone has extra miles lying around, could I buy 53 of them? I don't have much cash, but I do have some beer.

I sell karma offsets. I'm a really good person and have more than enough good karma to get me through. Maybe we can work out some sort of three or four way trade. Just don't tell the feds. We may have to pay taxes if they catch us.

Would that be "Karma Sutra".

I'd be willing to part with the "junk miles" I did last week. Any interest in that option?

I sell karma offsets.

Good. I need that, too. I actually lied about the rain. I was taking a nap.

You can have some of mine from last week.
Five rides, 444 miles total. Average of 88.8 mi per day.

I don't ride alone. I ride with Dave (65 y/o) Rides his Birthday 6 Days a Week.
Started the ride with this group. Roy, Red Helmet is 72 y/o.

Had to celebrate passing 8,000 ytd miles.
Could I get more miles with Yellow Tires?

Some here were kind enough to suggest when I rode my age earlier this year that I might claim a temperature offset. If that still stands, then I'll be happy to trade my discount. I have some experience in trading temperature related miles for beer :thumb:

I had a really nice ride on Friday afternoon, not really long enough to fully offset your deficit. But if you would like 29 sunny, low humidity, 80 degrees, mild breeze in rural Greene County on mostly newly paved blacktop and therefore really smooth and pleasing to ride miles, then you may have them. Use them in good health. I hope you enjoyed your nap

I did 15 in the rain yesterday. Send me a cold six pack and they're yours. You can use
them to wash away your little fib.

In order to qualify as age ride mile credits, the contributor could only count miles on rides that were above his/her own age. And in this case, the minimum age is 50.

I did 44 one day last week, so I'm in need of 9 miles. But I would feel bad taking them, because when I quit riding that day, I still felt fairly good and could have gone for 53. But being a natural slacker, I didn't.

I'll sell you the miles that I didn't ride. They're part of derivative asset class that is backed by the full faith and credit of the three cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon in my refrigerator.

Well, I actually did 53.63 yesterday. And since my age yesterday was 53.003, you're welcome to the 0.627 I have left over :-)

I'm very interested but need to know the born on date of the PBR first!!! It's the one beer that the longer it's around the better it gets......just like us.
