So, I went to some LBS around and found these two bikes:

- UNIVEGA Alpina HT-550 Shimano Deore XT:
Price: 1112 CHF (same as USD)
Cons: Takes two week to order the one with “Large Frame” from factory in Germany and bring here in Switzerland
Details: http://bicicletasguillermo.com/guillermo/bicicleta-univega-alpina-ht550-shimano-deore-p-1491.html?language=en (I just found this link for details.)
Some conversion for American friends:
The weight is around 12 kg = 26.4 lbs
The breaks: F: 180 mm = 7 inches, R: 160 mm = 6.29 inches

- Rockhopper Int'l Rockhopper Disc:
Price: 1300 CHF
Pros: Available!
Details: http://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCBkModel.jsp?a=b&minisite=10024&spid=34005&language=US

And the cost till 1500 is not important.
So which one you think is better?
Tnx in advance,

First, I could not get your link to Specialized to bring up the bike you're looking at.
Assuming its the Rockhopper Pro at 1350, the components on the Univega look better to me, but the M-4 Rockhopper is a reliable design. I'm biased because I have an older, A-1 frame Rockhopper, but I'm very pleased with it.
As for Univega, I thought Darby buried that name back in 2000. Guess someone is bringing it back or maybe it's available in Europe like Nishiki. I don't know much about them as they are not available here in the states, or at least I've not heard that they are back.

Tnx..but wait… are you saying that Univega has better components than Rockhopper pro? Cuz I’m comparing to Rockhopper Disc! The Rockhopper pro here is like 2000 CHF while that Univega is around 1112 CHF!!
I really got confused. Anyway here is a screenshot of comparison table I made:

Well, I really don’t know those details are what or which is better. Help please..

Specialized, nice bike, M4 Frame lovely frame dripped down from the Stumpjumper. Spec a little higher in areas, very good bike, long established pedigree
