Just installed the CatEye Cordless 7, and only the odometer and max speed display work. The distance and average speed doesn't display. Does anyone know why? Thanks for the tips to come.

Try relocating the sending unit closer to the computer by moving it up higher on the fork and of course move the magnet up the rim to correspond with the sender. Also make sure the magnet just barely clears the sending unit. Read your instructions well and read the troubleshooting hints for more detail.

Froze, good advise. Your tips and the fact that there is an automatic mode vs. a manual one is a good thing to know. I was just used to my Cat Eye Enduro 8, which is about as basic as they come. Thanks--it works great now.

did you try riding the bike around the block?

It was the "automatic mode" that needed to be set.
