I am debating signing up for this ride. I think today is the last day for online registration. Weather is not looking fantastic but it is October. So anyone doing this ride or has done it in the past and has a glowing endorsement?

Did it as few times and it is a great ride. It can be a cold one though, I suggest you monitor the weather. I don't know if I would have enjoyed it as much if it had rained

I did it last year...it was really a very nice ride. I am going to watch the weather and will likely do the ride again if it's clear.

Right now the weather report is saying 30% chance of rain. I am committing. If it rains I will consider it a good training ride for the chilly hilly which I am doing this year if it kills me (I could not ride last year due to injury).

I did it last year and enjoyed it, even though I wound up getting a migraine.

I'll do it again.

The KCC looks interesting. I'd be tempted to take the train down from Bellingham to Edmonds, but it gets there a bit late (10:21 if Amtrak is on time) for the 10:10 ferry to Kingston. I suppose I could just ride the course later than most people and avoid the crowds. The return train is no problem since it leaves Edmonds at 7:07 pm heading north. Makes a long full day of the event that way, but avoids a drive. Hmmm.

Looks like a nice ride. Looks like rain. Looks like I'm staying home.

I'll instead think of you and bicycling while I'm making pie (check out the 'I like pie' thread in Foo; has a great-looking recipe for Iraqi chicken/chickpea hand pies).

I am already signed up, and rain or shine, I will be there!

Look for me on the 1974 Schwinn Paramount :) .

The train is a great way to travel, besides the scenery isn't to shabby.
