Mountain Biking - Platform pedals

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I ride about half and half clipless pedals and platform. I will put the platform pedals on for anything that I think will have some big drops or fast but technical downhills. I was wondering for those of you who run platform pedals what kind you ride.
I currently have primo tenderizers but I don't find they grip that well, the pins are a pain to replace and they are pretty big. I have some wellgo BMX pedals I was thinking of putting on, but what do you guys suggest?
I run Da Bomb Naplams, very cheap and i find they grip really well especially on jumps/ Drop offs. I too, tried to attach my mosh bmx pedals to the MTB but most BMx are 1/2" thread, whereas the MTB crank thread is 9/16", this was my mine problem.

I think I will try wellgo's for a while and see how it goes, and if they don't do it for me get some crank bro's 50/50s.

I love them! Studs provide lots of grip, the width of them is great..
But then again, each to their own.

Primo Meat Tenderizers. I have been in love with them for years. Concave and sticky, I use them for DH and DJ... and they don't cost alot of dough.

but useless with the stock pins. I ended up grabbing some aftermarket pins from my LBS.
