I have a hard time locating a store with a really good selection in reflective wear. Specifically I'm looking for something to put on my backpack as a vest will only cover my front.

A screaming yellow helmet cover would be nice too, but they seem to be sold out everywhere.

I'm not afraid of the Fred factor.

If you would be interested in sew-on or iron-on reflective tape, you could ask Identi-Tape if they ship internationally: http://identi-tape.com/contact.html

The 3M SOLAS (Safety Of Life At Sea) sew-on tape (http://identi-tape.com/solas.html) has a good reputation, and will reflect strongly even when wet. SOLAS is designed for long-range reflection in marine rescue situations. Other reflective tapes they carry (http://identi-tape.com/reflective_gateway.htm)

Hans,

My friend makes these great helmet cozies for keeping warm in winter, and a lot of them have reflective strips on them. On of my friends had a reflective robot sewn on (he loves robots). I think the custom design part might interest you.

Take a look: www.helmetcozy.com

Cheers,

A

+1.

And learn to sew.

Old straight plus zig zag sewing machines are dirt cheap. No more problems finding exactly what your looking for. Add/remove hooks, loops, straps, pockets, and reflective tape to whatever you want. I'm currently making a simple trunk bag custom sized to fit my Nashbar mini front rack.
