Thinking about going to UBI (http://www.bikeschool.com) for a frame building class. Anyone ever taken them? How are they? After that I would be interested in apprenticing just because I doubt you can even come close to learning everything in years let alone 2 weeks. Is the common route for Frame Builders? Do many independent frame builders take on apprentices?

Thanks for the info.

Ray,
I know zilch about apprenticing with framebuilders,
however you can subscribe to the framebuilders list
at http://www.phred.org/mailman/listinfo/framebuilders
and post the question there.
Very interesting banter on this list if you're into that
kind of thing.

I've been checking that place out, too. I'd also be interested in any info...

Thanks for the info. I subscribed to that framebuilders site and will be checking it out further tonight.

Thanks again.

Any framebuilders frequent these forms? Care to tell how you got started?

Thanks again.
