We seem to have a fair number of Edmontonians here and I was thinking a little BF gathering is overdue...

I was thinking that if people were interested a little breakfast ride / gathering would be a nice idea with my plan being to get together for a little brunch and then take a spin down through the valley on some Saturday or Sunday morning (before the snow flies).

Perhaps some of the other non BF locals might want to join up too.

Your thoughts ?

I would be interested. Are there any other casual group rides in Edmonton?

The crew down at EBC / Bikeworks stages a good number of impromptu rides and there is most often a midnight ride after every critical mass.

I'd be up for a ride as well

There's a valley a little south of Edmonton that's pleasant this time of year ... the Red Deer River Valley!! :)

The snow is supposed to fly today, but Thanksgiving Monday looks nice.

I've been a really busy camper of late but am still thinking that this would be a fun thing to do... I am all tied up this weekend but next weekend is looking promising.

Saturday October 25th... weather permitting.

Why don't we all meet at the Route 99 diner at 10 am for some brunch and then take a spin through the valley ?

Hey Sixty Fiver, just gotta say thanks for 'organizing' that ride. Good food, good ride... really good time. We'll have to do that again. It was very good to meet you and put a face to the online name.

It's too bad a few more folks didn't show up... perhaps we could look at doing this once a month and call it the HTFU ride or if the weather really blows we could just do breakfast

:D

I was listening to the radio this am and I heard that the winds on Saturday reached 105 kmh !!!

It looks like we're going to have a much nicer week with some more unseasonably high temps and very little wind.

Yeah, the wind was farkin' nuts. We wound up finally fixing the fence to get it through the winter though - so I guess that's good. At least it didn't fall over first....

The wind was insane. You don't HTFU and ride in that; it's just stupid. I went running instead. ;)

Sunday was nice, a bit chilly but nice. Did a solid 3.5 hour road ride.
