I just switched from nike to Sidi genius 4 with Look cleats. I noticed they came with adapter plates, my question is DO i need to use these plates even though the cleats fit without any adapter plates?

Hello,

I just switched to Sidi Genius 4 using Look pedals. Right after I screwed the Look cleat directly to the shoe w/o the provided adapter I noticed that the front lip of the cleat was too receded from the surface of the sole. So I went ahead with the adapter and the lip was more protuding. I didn't try riding w/o the adapters since it seemed that I would have a grand olde time trying to clip in with a receded cleat.

I hope this helps.
