Smokey Mountain Wheelmen Fall Century on October 11th, in Loudon, TN
Who else is riding this?
I'll be doing the 26 mile route because I don't have a good 'distance riding' bike right now. At least I'm making up for the shorter distance by riding a fixed gear bicycle.
26 miles of pedaling up and down hills in 48/18 gearing. Should be a fun time. :p

This ride was awesome. Perfect weather, well planned route, and friendly people running it. I was one of the first to finish the 26 miles on my fixie so next year maybe I'll run as a freewheeling singlespeed and do the metric ride.

We've certainly had great weather for riding the last couple weeks.
I didn't do the century. Out of curiosity, do you have an estimate on how many riders participated?

I heard that about 300 rode.
This is about the only century around here with no major mountains. It is a great first century for those who would like to try distance riding, and a pleasant ride for those who are more experienced. More people seemed to ride the full century this year compared to recent years, at least there were people for me to ride with back at the slow end.
