As advertised on their site for some time now (http://www.xtracycle.com/home/longtailtech/), Xtracycle released the specs for their "Longtail Technology" today: http://www.xtracycle.com/longtailtech/index.php/Main_Page

It's pretty cool, here's hoping they're able to get more manufacturers and accessories builders on board. If Interbike was any indicator, the time is now...

Maybe they can get production up to the point where they can bring the base cost down from $400.

Possibly. I think the price is actually pretty reasonable for essentially a second frame with bags.

This is an exciting development.
