Good day,

I am going to try to make my family of four automobile free in the spring of 2009.

My first step is to aquire a double child carrier.

Has anyomne had good experiences with a particular model? I have two boys who are now 1 and 3. Next spring they will probably be 25 and 42 lbs respectively.

Is there anyone out there willing to sell a used one?

Is there is anyone out there in the Edmonton area who may be willing to let me test drive one? I have two boys, 1 and 3, and would like to know if they would take to it before shelling out a few hundred bucks.

Thanks,

TNO

Wow, that's a comendable goal!

I have a cheap trailer and it isn't worth the time or effort. They're too close together and that's begging for conflict. The only time i can get them in it and have them happy to be there is if we're going for a short trip to a local park. I'll try and find a link to the trailer i have to recomend AGAINST it.

Edit: That's not to say i recomend against trailers in general, just the particular one that i have. They do enjoy the ride for a short period of time.

Here is the trailer (http://www.weeride.com/Stagecoach-Trailer) that i have, again i recommend against it. The kids sit too close together and the back seems to force their heads forward when they're wearing their helmets. It's a cheap trailer about 80-100 new so you'd probably have ruled it out at any rate.

Oh hey, are you checking out the Recreational & Family (http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=182)Forum. When i first started using the trailer i got a lot of great advice there.
