I'm stuck on which bike to buy. X1's upgrades include Rock Shox SID Team (over Fox RL100), Avid Elixer R (over XT), Mavic XM717 (over XM317), upgraded bars, stem, SP.

I guess the main upgrade is the fork. I rode the Fox 120RL last year on my Trance X1 and loved it. Wondering if the SID is that much better.

MSRP $3550 v $2900 though I work at a Giant shop so I get EP price.

I love fox forks myself. The XT brakes are still great, and there's not a gigantic difference in the wheels. So I'd say the X2.

I personally love fox suspension

I' say stick with the X2 like posted above

not sure what the price difference is with your EP discount but I'm willing to bet if you spent the difference on your own preferential components and sold the stuff on the X2 you wanted to upgrade you'd come close to breaking even

Its more or less a $350 upgrade to the X1. I already have a set of XTR shifters and Rear Der I plan on swapping onto it. Giant downspeced the rear on the X1 from an XTR to an XT and kept the same price.

Hmm, Im not sure my self, but if you are planning to upgrade your bike, then get the Anthem X2. The new SiD, so far have good reviews but its still too early to tell.

If I were you, I will upgrade the wheelset to Stans for some lightweighty hoops and change the brakes to Formula :D.
