Pam is one of the owners of the bike shop. The blonde lady is a friend that was not riding because she has an Ironman event next weekend. She was just helping out. The TdN Metric had 4 turns to it so it was much easier to follow than the TdF route. The century had 8 turns I believe. Definitely email the TdF people with your comments and I will also pass along your experience when I see them. Sorry about your problems and there is no excuse for not sweeping the course or pulling support before everyone is through the rest stop.
Then "Pam" must have been the brunette lady at the back of the shop that was nice enough to tighten my two (extremely!) loose spokes, just minutes before the ride. I asked the guy at the back register if he could try to work me in (about 15-20 minutes before the ride start), and he said he would "try" to get to it, but couldn't promise anything. When I came back a couple minutes later to check on it, after going back to the car to give my rider packet to my g/f so she could pin my rider # on my shirt, Pam...I guess it was, was just finishing up tightening the spokes and checking it to see that it spun true. That was REALLY nice of her to work me in; I wasn't going to do the ride if I didn't get it tended to.
I'll drop her a line and give her my constructive criticism, along with my thanks for fixing my wheel.
