Hi fellow Texans,

I just wanted to let you know I just wrote a post on the blog (http://austinbikeblog.org/?p=1006) about this REALLY awful Austin Fox News affiliate cycling story that aired on the 29th.

Basically the story says that there are more cyclists than ever on our roads, and that's bad! UGH! :mad:

Yeah, KVUE also recently produced a story about police cracking down on cyclists in Downtown Austin- http://www.kvue.com/news/top/stories/092608kvue-cops_crackdown_on_bikes-mw.b62132f8.html

So I guess we should just fine people instead actually creating real infrastructure for bikes, huh?

I'm in Austin about one weekend every three months, but never biking. I'm usually somewhere between Jolleyville and Town Lake. I guess I haven't noticed. That's a shame. I love the area.
