OOOOHH! It's soo pretty! I wish my camera was co-operating today because I'd be uploading pics right now!
Thanks for the extra barrel adjuster, I was going to PM you that I only got one. Thanks Sean, and great job on the frame, it looks amazing! I love the headset and seat clamp too, they look so great (also, thanks for the compressor, I'm glad I don't have to buy one!
Great job!

Just to be clear, mine's a size 4 (56cm) I'll post more pics as I do some building. I may just pick up a barrel nut in town because OOOH BABY do I wanna ride it!
Sweet! Mine was waiting for me when I (finally) got in from work tonight. Hopefully I'll be able to get the 'donor' bike stripped and this built up over the weekend...
I really like the "customers will be pissed" on the box...very amusing!

Bummer of bummers.... the bottom bracket for my gossamer was missing the outer bearing shields, so I can't preload the bearings because the crank arms are a good 5mm away from the bearings :-( Oh well. Teaches me to buy something like this off of ebay. More like failbay. Anyway, I have to order a new bottom bracket bearing set for two stupid pieces of aluminum. Good thing I haven't started hacking my donor bike up for its parts yet!

Hi hi, can you please advise what your name is so I can check the tracking for your frame. Thanks.

I got some cable adjusters from Jenson, in black. I got the headset cups pressed yesterday, and received my SRAM BB set from Competative Cyclist (they rock for their fast shipping to me). Here is the bike as it is right now (It has a mock-up stem from Nashbar on it for right now.
Sorry for the grainy quality, my vid cam only takes so-so pictures when it's dark out.

Still have some stuff to do, tension cables, adjustments here and there, wrapping the bars. I should be done tomorrow. Too bad it's rediculously cold for Houston or I'd be in more of a rush to finish and go riding!

Welp, I finished the build last Sunday, but will be riding the first time tomorrow (Feb 6) for around 45 Miles. Here are the pics of the finished article!

I realize the seat looks slammed forward, but I had to put it there to get my knees in the right spot. Sure am glad I didn't get a setback seatpost!

Those Yokozuna cables got quite the interest in the bike shop. They'd never seen ones like that before.
I'll post ride reports tomorrow!
17 LBs as pictured.

Had a ride today after a proper fitting (Now I have a setback seatpost and my selle SMP pro on there )
OMG, what a great frame! It's so nice and stiff and gets so much power to the ground, but it's not overly harsh over rough patches. It's a very nice riding frame and it's the only bike my ass will be gracing this season. Well done Sean, excellent work. Very fast, very comfy! (even in this bitter cold)

Sorry for the horrible quality. I need a new camera, so all I have is my Blackberry. Not the best photo quality in the world. The bike looks ridiculously good. I'm very impressed. Weighs about 2 pounds more than my Madone, but that's too be expected. The 2010 SRAM Force looks great with the bike. But man, that BB30 was a huge pain to install. I look forward to giving it a ride soon.
One thing I have noticed is that there's a <2 mm gap between the rear wheel and the seat tube. It's such a tight fit.
Finally found some time, so its looking more like a bike. Really impressed so far, but there's still more to do...
And for those who might be wondering, 28mm tyres do fit on a size 3 (54cm).

Rode another 42 miles this weekend and let me just say, I LOVE this frame. It's so stiff and so fast on sprints, and so soft & supple to just cruise along on rough roads with. I have no idea how you did that Sean, but it's just a marvelous bike. I have a Giant Defy 2 that I also ride, and for a supposed comfort geometry bike, the giant is much less comfortable, and the soul rides much smoother, but accelerates like a beast, where the defy just feels mushy on a sprint. Kudos to you Sean, and also, great support from Sean when I had issues. :thumb:

Just popped back in this thread after a hiatus from BF. The bikes turned out gorgeous! You should post this build in the Hot r' Not thread.

What exactly is a group buy? Does everyone get together and buy bikes in bulk then split them up? Like everyone gets one bike, but it is a deal because they were purchased in bulk?

in the case of this group buy the manufacturer gauged interest. then set a minimum number of bikes that must sell to get a special deal. when that number was reached the bikes were made.

And in this case, the number wasn't met but Sean was still a decent human and honored the posted price. Great guy to deal with :thumb:
Lovin mine so far, doing a century on it today...

Just got mine...i'll have it together in a few days!
[edit] i'll be able to give a good comparison of the CAAD9 as that is what i race now...so yeah..there's that.
Thought I'd be different and post an 'action' shot. OK, maybe not totally in action, but its kinda hard to get them shots riding solo.

I contacted Sean and he said the next group buy will most likely be this winter. He also told me that he is going to stick with the anodized finish and will be going to a tapered steerer as an option.

I'd definitely be interested in buying a frame (maybe 2)
