Electric Bikes - hub motor

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

What do you think of this brand of hub motor on a dahon folder?

I am leaning towards the 1000 watt motor because Portland is pretty hilly. I rode some 500 watt bikes while in Tianjin and found that they tended to dog down on freeway overpasses.
Does anyone have any experience buying this motor? or from this vendor?

Sorry that I don't know enough about electric bikes yet to answer your question but, after spending time in Suzhou on several occasions, I like your name.

It's hard to say what quality these motors come with. I know from experience that Crystalyte motors are good because I've run them in the past week. It's better I think to buy a brand name than an unknown chinese motor with shady quality.
