the seatstay and the chainstay aren't connected. you can see that they are two separate pieces that are threaded onto the axle separately here.

Looks like gearing is changeable with extra cogs.

This solves the problem of the previous designs with the eccentric hub. I wish this was adaptable to older bikes. I would not mind having a belt driven commuter.

Do I see a big old ding in that chainstay?
I'm still not completely sold on belts, but I will say that I'm coming around on the idea.
is that 'ding' for the crank arm? that was my guess.

that's not really the consumer demographic they are going after. they actually have some ridiculous tarckmobile with a totally different frame and geometry, i think it was featured on BikeSnob.
