Cyclocross - Anybody use the shimano M970 pedals?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have always used Shimano cleats. Was thinking of going time or egg beater as they seem very popular, but I can get the 970s for $120 - which seems like a great price.
Not many cx reviews for the 970 style.
Does anybody use there (or the 959 i suppose)? Or would I be better off with the beaters or times...
(my shoe is the shimano mtn sport)

I use the PD-M520 pedals with Shimano MT31 shoes, no complaint. Be sure to consider crank clearance. The size 46 shoes are tight against the crank.

I've got the M970s on my cx bike, no complaints. SoCal doesn't get much rain and I'm new-ish to this, so others may have different opinions...

I've been curious about getting these pedals. These guys seem to have the lowest price, but I have not experience with them.
