What type of riding?
dry packed, mud,??????
I like the panaracer fire xc pro myself
I also like (and am currently using) the Panaracer Fire XC Pro but they don't perform very well when things get extremely muddy. As an all-around XC tyre, they're pretty good though.

ya thats what im looking for a good all around tire. Im not a fan of riding on the muddy days because it tends to be quite slow but if i really wanna get out there i will

I have had good luck with the IRC Serac XC 2.1. (UST). Good in all conditions I see in the northeast. I think it runs narrow, more like 2.0. For dry conditions and hardpack in AZ I loved the Hutchinson Masquito UST

i'm kind of torn between the Panaracer XC Pro and the IRC Serac. veghead what kinda conditions do you ride?
there are a few spots where i ride that have fist sized jageded rocks so having a tire that wont go !POP! on me would be nice

i actually just got them, so far they are a great all around tire. around here i ride pretty much hardpack, light sand/rocks/gravel. not much mud, but i read that they dont perform well in mud anyway

I also ride the panaracer fire xc pro. Like it allot. I've never used them in really muddy conditions, but rode on a damp trail with the occasional mud puddle last weekend and they did great.
