I've got a WTB Speed V saddle that I've put ~500 miles on, and it KILLS my butt. The LBS I bought it from won't take it back (I should have bought it at Performance Bike instead). Is there anything I can do about it? It hurts my "sit-bones."

have you only been using your saddle for 2-3 weeks? If so, and this is the first mileage of your season, then no doubt you will have some saddle sores!!

If youve been riding all year, and this is a new saddle, Id ebay it, or try to trade for it..your LBS should swap it for you, at a minimal cost..if they dont, they are a bunch of jersk, IMHO..

I had a WTB on my pista, and I HATED it!!! It just curled up too much for me at the end of the saddle...Im looking for a selle italia slr...my fave of all time..

keep us posted..

Saddles are completely different for each person. Do a search on the forums and you'll find countless threads discussing saddles.

Some fit you, and some you learn to fit. Granted, some saddles require some break-in time but they shouldn't be too harsh on you.

Selle Italias are just nice. I'm currently using a Flite Gel. Just the right amount of padding. Thin but comfy. I'm amazed at Brooks though - so thin yet somehow they work.

i had a WTB, and ran around for 1 month swearing i had a hemorrhoid, seriously - just ask dumpstervegan.

my girlfriend has the wtb speed she and seems to like it just fine, maybe its a non-testicles thing

i suggest triple checking the angles of your seat, then go out and buy a brooks :)

Is your ass sore or do you have a saddle sore? My saddle sore issues have usually been due to the setup of the saddle, while sore ass is usually due to the saddle. At least so far.

This seat is only two weeks old. I ride year round, and have been doing about 200-250 miles per week since last fall. I really think it's just the seat because I'm not getting 'sores,' it just hurts the bones. The LBS wanted to charge me a 20$ restocking fee, even when I tried to return it the day after I bought it (I'm never going back there again, they're very rude if you didn't buy your bike from them). I've never e-bayed anything, but I think this might be a worthy candidate. This sucks because I love the way the seat looks. It has chrome-look sides and top, similar to the stock Pista seat. Unfortunately, I'm waaaay poor, so a Brooks is out of the question.
Thanks again for everyone's advice...
