Road Cycling - brooks saddle adjustment

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
iv'e put a brooks b-17 on my fisher hybrid and because the rails on the brooks widen out sooner than the old saddle i can't get the seat foward enough. is there a seatpost available that better accepts this saddle than the bontrager sport thats on the bike now? or would you remedy this in any other way? thanks.
Wow, most folks can't get them back far enough. If your seatpost has just a little setback it seems like you should be able to just turn it around. Just look for a seatpost that has the setback you might need if it were turned around. The only thing would be to make sure it can tilt enough in the direction you need it to.
Hi,
there are a number of seatposts that have no setback. That would do the trick.
