As a Carbondale resident, I am not sure if I should be happy about you showing off our wonderful trail, or tell you how terrible it is so I can keep it to myself :)

It really is a great trail. The last few miles into Aspen actually leave the railroad trail and climb a farily steep hill on a county road to get into town. The railroad trail does continue into town, but it is gravel and not great on a road bike.
